Stainless steel is used a lot in kitchen accessories, cutlery and cookware. More ductile grades of steel are used for items that are molded into shape such as cookers, grills, racks, sinks and saucepans.
How to Separate Stainless From Aluminum
- • Stainless steel compare to aluminum is a stronger and heavier material. A easy way to distinguish stainless from aluminum is to file the surface of the material. Stainless will be harder to file and will be heavier.
- • There are some stainless steel that sticks to a magnet. DO NOT mix them with the non-magnetic Stainless. Zarc buys them in as regular metal.
- • Similar to other materials, the cleaner the material the more value it has. Separate the clean stainless from the non-clean stainless to get the best value.
